Battle format	Only Pokémon present in the Central Kalos Pokédex, Coastal Kalos Pokédex, and Mountain Kalos Pokédex may be used. The only exception to the above is your Mega Pokemon: all non-legendary and non-mythical Megas released in GO are legal – including Mega Metagross. Any regional variants must have been obtainable in Pokémon X or Pokémon Y (i.e. no Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, or Paldean forms). Each team MUST contain: Exactly 1 Mega Evolved Pokémon At least 1 Pokémon originally discovered in the Kalos region (National Pokédex numbers #0650-#0721) Purified Pokémon are allowed. You may only have one copy of each Pokédex number on your team, even if that Pokémon has multiple forms. Ie, you may not run both Steelix and Mega Steelix, or you may not run mutliple different Wormadam.

Q: Can I use a Mega Evolution that was released after Pokémon XY, eg: Mega Beedrill? Yes – any Mega Evolved Pokémon that are currently released in Pokémon GO is legal, aside from those disallowed by the banned rules. This means that Latias, Latios, Rayquaza, MewTwo and Diancie are banned. Can I use the non-Mega form of a Pokémon that has a Mega, but is not in the Central, Coastal or Mountain Pokédex, eg: Swampert? No, you may not. Mega Swampert is legal, Swampert is not Q: Can I use a regional variation of a Pokémon if that variation is not in the Kalos Pokédex, eg: May I use Galarian Corsola, as Corsola is Coastal Kalos #146? No – the first regional variants were discovered in Alola, and so none are legal for this event.
