FAQ

Q: Can I use Shadow Dusclops and Purified Dusclops on the same team if I pay 3$ twice?

A: No. While Shadow and Purified Pokemon are allowed, you may only have one type of species of a Pokemon regardless of it being a shadow or purified (or regular) version.

Q: Can I use Kanto Meowth, Galarian Meowth and Alolan Meowth on the same team?

A: Yes. You can use each regional form of a Pokémon, each regional variant counts as a separate pokemon.

Q: Do I have to use exactly 10$ or can I use less as well?

A: While you’re not allowed to spend more than 10$ on your team, 10$ or less is possible at your own discretion. Any combination of 6 pokemon that have a total of value of $10 or less will create a legal team. Examples below.

Q: A match is 5 games, that seems like a lot?? Do I have to play all 5 games to complete the match?

A: The first player to win 3 games will win the round. If you win or lose 3 games before playing games 4 & 5, you are not required to play those games.

Q: Help!? I don’t know if my team is legal, is there anyone I could ask to double-check?

A: Judges will be happy to verify if your team is legal to use up until 30 min before the event begins.

Updates

– Following the quarterly in-game moveset update on June 2 2026, certain pokemon may have their assigned $ value updated to help re-balance the meta. If an adjustment happens the judges will share that information by June 10 2026.

– Point values have been adjusted after the rebalance of the meta (Post-NAIC).

→ Jumpluff, Ninetales(Kanto), Seaking, Medicham, Stunfisk(Galar), and Florges now cost 6$.

→ Aromatisse, Morgrem, Sylveon, Morpeko, Fearow, Seismitoad, Sliggoo, Melmetal, Lumineon, Pidgeot, and Pelipper now cost 3$.

→ Swanna now costs 1$.

→ No Pokemon’s cost has been reduced following the update.
