Professor Cup history

WotC

During most of the Wizards of the Coast era, regular tournaments were restricted to players aged 14 and younger. Those 15 and older could apply to become a Professor, and these were generally the only official tournaments they could play in. After WotC lost the license, Pokémon Organized Play reinstated the 15+ age division (now Masters) and bumped the minimum Professor age up to 18.
